- Fleeting note (靈感筆記)：用來捕捉瞬間出現的靈感。
- Literature note (讀書筆記)：我們常見的「讀書筆記」，但範圍並不局限於「書」。舉凡如 Podcast、網路文章、書籍、論文、雜誌…等，只要筆記的產生是經由閱讀外部資料所產生的心得，都算是 Literature note。
- Permanent note (永久筆記)：將 Fleeting note、Literature note 重新組織、整理、連結過後的筆記，通常能是一個邏輯完整的段落。
- Project-related note (專案筆記)：跟某個特定專案有關的筆記。
